How it works

The Knowledge Base, and who sees what

Every AI assistant across MAUNi — on the public site, for students, and for professionals — answers from the same governed library. This page explains how material gets in, who checks it, and what determines whether you see it. Pick the view that’s you.

For the public

Ask us anything — you'll only ever get answers we've checked.

When you chat with a MAUNi AI assistant without an account, every answer is built from a small, carefully reviewed library — never the open internet, and never a raw class recording.

  • Nothing reaches you until it has been drafted, screened for anything sensitive, and approved by a person at MAUNi specifically for public use.
  • You'll always see where an answer comes from, so you can judge it for yourself.
  • The assistant is built to say “I don't have an approved answer for that” rather than guess.

The pipeline

From a live class to an AI answer

The same five stages produce every answer you get, no matter which assistant you’re talking to.

1. Something gets recorded or written down

Live classes, training videos, and the official CPRC manual are the raw material. Nothing here has been checked yet.

2. An AI drafts it, a second AI checks it

One AI proposes short, factual excerpts. A separate AI then screens every proposal specifically for privacy, safeguarding, and safety risks — before any person sees it.

Nothing skips this step

3. A person at MAUNi reviews it

A trained reviewer reads the excerpt against the original recording, corrects or rejects it, and decides who is allowed to see it — or blocks it entirely.

4. It's filed into an access tier

Approved material is labelled Public, Student, or Professional & Staff. Nothing becomes Public without the source's consent being explicitly confirmed.

5. The assistant answers, and shows its working

When you ask a question, the assistant searches only what your tier can see, and names its sources in the reply.

Access tiers

What each tier can actually see

Each tier includes everything below it. Restricted material is never shown to any assistant, at any tier.

Public
Anyone, signed in or not. Only fully reviewed, publicly-cleared material.
You are here
Students & Clients
Everything Public, plus material tied to your learning pathway.
Professionals & Staff
Everything above, plus content for practice, supervision, and CPD.
Restricted
Raw transcripts and anything not yet approved. Reviewers only — never reachable by any assistant.

Two kinds of knowledge

Canon vs. Emerging

Every approved answer is labelled with one of these, so you know how settled it is.

Organisational Canon

The CPRC manual and MAUNi’s established models. Treated as the authoritative answer when it’s relevant.

Emerging

Insight drawn from live classes and discussion. Genuinely useful, but still developing — and labelled as such.

Questions

Common questions from public

Can the AI see what I type later, or remember me?+

No. Your questions aren't added to the knowledge base — they're only used to find an answer for you, in the moment.

Could the AI say something wrong?+

It can. That's why it names its source on every answer that draws from the library, so you can check it yourself.

Is this a replacement for a coach or clinician?+

No. It's a starting point. For anything serious, it will point you toward a real person.
